Product Description

Acrylic vinyl adhesive is suitable for use with sheet vinyls including cushion flooring, vinyl tiles, PVC backed carpets and some needle felt and fibre bonded carpets where solvent free adhesive has been specified. Solvent free adhesive vinyl flooring acrylic is easy to spread and has a long open time leading to a strong permanent bond. It has a good resistance to plasticiser migration and it is suitable for use over normal under floor heating subject to the heating being turned off 48 hours prior to fitting, during fitting and 48 hours after fitting (See instructions).To lay adhesive vinyl flooring, it is important to ensure that all floors need to be sound, smooth, clean and dry and free from contamination in line with BS8203. Any damp floors must incorporate an effective surface damp proof membrane. For correct and efficient vinyl adhesive, the working temperature should be a minimum of 18*c (65*f) and a 1.5mm x 5mm trowel used, which can be cleaned whilst the glue is still wet with cold water. To provide a good bond with the vinyl floor adhesive, your vinyl floor coverings should be rolled with a 68kg roller in two directions immediately after installation and again after an hour. This should be done with a weighted glider on carpets.
